Our Statement of Faith
1. The Triune God
I believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This Triune God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, both visible and invisible.
2. Jesus Christ: The Word and Savior
I believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the living Word who became flesh. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, was crucified for our sins, died, and was buried. On the third day, He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for believers. He will return to judge the living and the dead.
3. The Holy Spirit
I believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son and is of the same substance, majesty, and glory as the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerates and sanctifies believers, and empowers them for godly living and service.
4. The Journey of Salvation
The Christian journey begins with genuine repentance, acknowledging our sins and turning away from them. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we receive forgiveness and are justified by His sacrificial death, cleansed by His precious blood. This transformative experience, known as salvation, is marked outwardly by the sacrament of water baptism, symbolizing our union with Christ in His death and resurrection. Following this, believers seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit, empowering them for holy living and service.
5. Life in the Body of Christ
Upon baptism, believers are incorporated into the Body of Christ, the Church. The early Church devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. These four pillars continue to guide the Church today, fostering spiritual growth and unity among believers. Regular participation in Holy Communion serves as a profound reminder of Christ's sacrifice and our continual dependence on Him.
6. Perseverance and Hope
The Christian life is a continuous journey of sanctification, nurtured daily through the study of God's Word, prayer, and active participation in the Church community. We strive to grow in Christlikeness, holding fast to our salvation with reverence and humility. Our ultimate hope rests in the promise of Christ's second coming, when He will return to bring His people into the fullness of His eternal kingdom.
